Bird in Flight 1 - woodland textures brooch

This handcrafted miniature artwork features needle felting, embroidery and beads. It is mounted in a silvertone frame with a brooch back fastening (please see the second picture) approx 3.5cm x 2.5cm

This brooch features a silver tone bird - in a previous incarnation this was one of a pair of earrings which was found damaged in a bundle of "jewellery for crafting" which I was given by a neighbour.

All materials used in making this piece have been sourced second hand - they include felt and wool roving from a damaged hat found in a charity shop, embroidery threads purchased from vinted, beads and stone chips salvaged from broken jewellery. The setting was purchased from another artist who was "destashing".
