Ceramic Brooch - Orange/Red Geum

Unique brooch hand sculpted in the form of a Geum Flower using white clay and slip, bisque fired and then decorated with underglazes before kiln firing. Finished with an application of clear glaze before the 3rd and final firing.

After the brooch back is fitted, I cut and apply a circle of reclaimed felt fixed to the reverse to protect delicate fabrics.
